Election

Election is on 8th March and everybody knows it. You need to be blind to not see the buntings and poster plastered everywhere. Newspaper has advertisements to show voters what government has done and blah blah blah.

I have 2 handphones and believe it or not both got sms'ed by the Jentera Pilihanraya BN thanking me for my support. Interesting, how the hell did they get BOTH of my numbers? Basket! Maybe they take the electoral list and check my ic number and cross reference against some database (which I hope Telco did not provide) and come up with my numbers. I have no privacy already. If they triangulate my position to 3 BTS sites, sure can find where I live. Scary thoughts la.

Outside of my house now there is a 'party' going on near the hotel. If I have to guess, it would be BN one la. The PKR would not have the funds. Last night there was this ceramah behind the hotel. That might be PKR. Quite happening la here. Let's exercise our right (to vote)

Loop de Loop

Talking is a good stress buster for me. I mean good conversation that can touch subjects from cars to sex. LOL my two favorite subjects.

Good conversation allows me to escape from thinking about work issues or personal problems and other boring stuff. It allows my brain to fire up rarely used synapses. I remember a conversation yesterday I had during lunch. Human beings normally think roughly 40,000 thoughts in a day (plus minus la cause I can't remember the exact figure). The next day, we think of the SAME thoughts 50% of the time! It's like we are running in a loop over and over again.

I decided to think of new thoughts today........have fun with your brain.....

Facebook Noobie

Read this blog . It's funny and scary at the same time.

Reflecting

Einstein once said that the only constant in this universe is change. My life is no different. Every once in a while, something came up and it changes my life forever. I bet everybody experience this in some form or another.

I still remember my first crush. That was sweet. I was 8 or 9 and I really really like this girl. I thought she was cute. I hope she is happy wherever she is.

I remember my last exam in the University. I was walking by Bascom Hill and thinking...."that was it. I am done". No more studying, no more quizzes, no more labs and no more classes. I felt relieved.

I also remember my first drive with Scooby. She has this raw untamed power and she makes me feel good. She changed me to a car loving mad-modder.

Change is coming. Hope for the best and plan for the worst.....

Sudu

Just had lunch at Sudu @ Hilton this afternoon. Had fish and chip. Cost RM42 plus coke and tax comes to RM55 ++. Very expensive indeed. Then because I am late, I valet park my Gen2 (next to 5 series, Lexus etc). Cost = RM20. All in all the whole affair cost somebody RM80 (plus minus) per person. Lucky I am not paying for it. Not worth la.

Very Tired

Today is especially tiring. I had meetings from 8:30am to 7pm (non stop). In total, there were 5 meetings at 2 locations (Subang and KLIA). Wah, cannot tahan la like this!

I have not been sleeping very well lately. I think this contributed to the tiredness. Something is disturbing my brain wave and it is causing me to lose my focus. Without focus, I am in trouble la. Imagine going in and out of meetings that needs direction or decision and you are not focussed? Not good.

I think it is under control already. I have managed to get to the bottom of it and it's better now. I am looking forward to weekend and it's only Tuesday!!!!

Nice 2

Going Toilet

I was in a GLC conference today and at the end of the session there was a Working group presentation on Vendor Development Programme. Few of us were discussing some issues and potential solutions on the easel. So thinking that everything was complete, I went to toilet la. When I came back, those jokers nominated me to present the discussion points to the audience. Pandai betul these people.

Moral of the story: Don't just pee, go sh*t. (It takes longer and by then hopefully the presentation is over. Kah Kah Kah....)

Hopeless

I have been reminded that I am hopeless with camera. LOL. Being a techie guy, I know how to operate a camera. It's just that the picture I took are not ...... photogenic enough. Lucky I have other skills la.
Better not quit my day job.

Charity Drive

On sunday, Sepang track was a host to a charity drive. I was there to see nice cars and take a taxi ride in one. There were Lambos, Ferraris, Porsches, Bently and a Lotus. Subaru also ada but at the car park la!. LOL

Anyhow, the outing turn out to be better than expected. Initially I was suppose to take a ride in Ferrari 355. That was the plan anyway. But last minute info caused me to change the ride to a Lotus Exige S. You might wonder why. Lotus is only 1.8liter supercharged while Ferrari 355 is a 3.5liter V8, it is therefore a no-brainer that I should chose the more powerful Ferrari.

Hehe, how wrong some could be. The Lotus is piloted by non other then Tengku Djan Ley (TDL). Who?? Well..... just the 4th Best Drifter in the world in D1 2007 series! He has won the 12 hour MME Race in Sepang TWICE!.

Anyhow, the ride starts quite calm along the pit. Once the car hit the track, the power of this 1.8 liter car is short of amazing. I was pinned to the seat until Turn 1. Then, the car defy the law of physic. Turn 2 was taken flat out that my my left ball was banging my right ball! hehe. The amount of grip is fantastic. TDL's ability to control the car is mind boggling. I am running out of adjectives to describe how excellent he was controlling the car and lapping the circuit.

Turn 4 was taken in 2nd or 3rd gear, cannot see already. I am having a hard time to see cause he was way too fast. Turn 9 is where I struggle when I am driving on the track, he braked very late into it and turn to the apex and accelerate up the hill. Now I know how to do it.... I almost spin out when I did it with Scooby.

Turn 14 is a revelation. It was taken in a manner I would not expect. I won't be technical here but he showed me the line. Damn good lesson in just 3 laps. My money went to a good cause and the experience is priceless.

All in all, it was a good outing. Uncle Hamdan, Uncle Shah and Adi were there as well (my subaru Kaki). Uncle Shah took the Ferari Modena ride. But I bet it is not as fun as my ride.

Kick Boxing

Of late there are a couple of martial art reality TV shows on Astro. One is the Contender Asia where the discipline is kick boxing and the other is the IFL Battleground where anything goes. Those guys are tough. Tough with a capital 'T'. Got kicked repeatedly is normal. Head or nose bleed is also a given. Got smacked on the head repeatedly is all in a days work. Very tough...

I remember when I was young and was watching WWF (World Wrestling Federation) - remember Hulk Hogan?. I really thought it was real! Shoot, they actually 'acted' the whole scene for entertainment and commercial purposes. Kena tipu!

Anyway, I feel like learning kick boxing now. Not only it is good for health (as long as you don't fight la), it can also be pretty handy at times.

Porn star

I went for another session with my dentist today. This is the final session for my root canal and the process took slightly more than an hour.

For once I appreciated the kind of work porn stars do. It is tough to open your mouth for an hour. I would presume that it requires the same effort for the stars to do bj during filming. LOL

Hyperhidrosis

What is that? It is a condition of abnormal perspiration at generalized or specific area of the body. Normally it can be generalised to hands, feet, facial, armpit. It is an inherited traits. 1 in 100 has this problem. They even has a support group for this!

You see, I have this problem. I have sweaty palms. Some of my friends call me clammy hands LOL. Actually, it is can be pretty embarrassing. In my line of work I meet new people every week. Before shaking hands with them I must wipe my hands first...that really suck.

Funny thing is that the problem is intermittent. Normally, this happens when I am focussed on something. When I am focussed on work, the keyboard can be pretty wet. When I drive fast, my hand got wet (that's why I use driving glove in sepang. Normal road no need la). When I am rested or relaxed, no problem pulak. I believe it is also linked to my anxiety level. Higher anxiety = more sweat.

There is a cure for this. People like me will have to undergo an operation. I may consider it if it gets worst. Else, no need la. Just hope people don't judge me by my sweaty palms. I have been told my fingers can do magic...*wink*wink*

Bill Gates

Got this from an email. A reminder to myself and younger generation: Enjoy.

Bill Gates recently gave a speech at a High School about 11 things they did not and will not learn in school. He talks about how feel-good, politically correct teachings created a generation of kids with no concept of reality and how this concept set them up for failure in the real world.

Rule 1 : Life is not fair -- get used to it!

Rule 2
: The world won't care about your self-esteem. The world will expect you to accomplish something BEFORE you feel good about yourself.

Rule 3
: You will NOT make $60,000 a year right out of high school. You won't be a vice-president with a car phone until you earn both.

Rule 4:
If you think your teacher is tough, wait till you get a boss.

Rule 5
: Flipping burgers is not beneath your dignity. Your Grandparents had a different word for burger flipping: they called it opportunity.

Rule 6
: If you mess up, it's not your parents' fault, so don't whine about your mistakes, learn from them.

Rule 7:
Before you were born, your parents weren't as boring as they are now. They got that way from paying your bills, cleaning your clothes and listening to you talk about how cool you thought you were. So before you save the rain forest from the parasites of your parent's generation, try delousing the closet in your own room.

Rule 8:
Your school may have done away with winners and losers, but life HAS NOT. In some schools, they have abolished failing grades and they'll give you as MANY TIMES as you want to get the right answer. This doesn't bear the slightest resemblance to ANYTHING in real life.

Rule 9
: Life is not divided into semesters. You don't get summers off and very few employers are interested in helping you FIND YOURSELF. Do that on your own time.

Rule 10:
Television is NOT real life. In real life people actually have to leave the coffee shop and go to jobs.

Rule 11:
Be nice to nerds. Chances are you'll end up working for one.

iphone

Last night during dinner, a Big 5 consulting firm partner from Singapore showed me his iPhone. Damn cool gadget. The screen in fantastic, news on demand (internet), ipod function, video player, picture magnification function, wireless enable (others functions avail too) and of course it looks cool too.

As good as it is, there is a downside. It cannot do like a blackberry. I will have to carry my iPhone and blackberry at the same time (and I have to sell my Nokia E61i). Granted I am carrying 2 phone in my pocket and another in my backpack now, but it would be good if I can converge to 1 device.

My wish list for future iPhone is as below:
1) GPS
2) Automotive software - tacho, oil temp, water temp indicator etc
3) Behave like motec (ecu for the car)
4) Electronic gate opener
5) Remote control function (oh wait, maybe it is there already!)
6) Car remote as well (heheheh)

I doubt these functions will be there anytime soon but hopefully somebody will develop something... then I WANT ONE!

Damn Battery

My 4 year old personal notebook needs some TLC. It needs the battery replaced. Right now, the batt can tahan for only 30min without power.

Having no choice, I checked out the prices on the net. Crap, the battery for my notebook will cost me RM500. I could buy a new notebook at around RM1500! That's pretty steep for a batt.

What to do...what to do...Not that I mind buying a new notebook but I hate setting up a new notebook to customised the way I like. Need to do the firewall thing, load encryption software, loads of other software to be installed like PDA, Camera, Phone, Pdf, Office software, ipod, etc. That's time consuming and needs a bit of luck.

Then the old notebook has to be cleansed. All x-rated stuff has to be deleted and overwritten with a special software (lesson learn from Edison Chen case). Hopefully all my naked pictures will not end up on the net LOL.

Damn battery

Surveys Says

There it is ....on the front page today, " Family and wealth, not sex, the mark of a macho man". I went like 'huh'?. I read on and obviously some organization did a masculinity study in Asia and the report is out. I won't bore you the details but the best part is in the next para.

44.8% of Malaysian men says that Having a good job and Being a family man is the top 2 priority while 89% of Asian male population says Having active sex life is important. Only 0.9% Malaysian men says active sex life is important. (Click on pic to enlarge)

This is how my simple mind interpreted the findings:
Hypothesis #1)
Malaysian male population in general is not having an active sex life. If they do, they would have realized that you can have a good job and be a family men while enjoying an active sex life! Assuming they found the right women la.
Hypothesis #2)
Other Asian male have their priority about right. Malaysian male???? still trying to find the good job and getting married to be a good family man. LOL. No wonder la some of my girl friends are complaining.
Hypothesis #3)
Generally women in Asia (excl Malaysian women) do experience an active love life. Malaysia women are missing out a lot.

I don't know if I should cry or laugh.....

Playing cards

After gym today I decided to drop by at my fav coffee shop and surf the net. The wi-fi was down so the place was a bit empty. Then I saw a group of people playing Gin (as in the card game) at Starbucks. Not bad eh!. Good friends, good coffee and good environment to play gin. So what next? Mahjong at Starbucks? Now that I wanna see.

Hello Kitty

Hello Kitty went to pasar this morning and she parked her car nearby. Look at the custom hello kitty exhaust. (sorry, phone camera is not as good)Did not manage to see her (Hello Kitty lar) personally but I am sure she was somewhere in the crowd.

Skirt

I like skirt. No, not me wearing it la, but the ladies. Somehow, skirt give a 'sexier and feminine' image to a women than pants. This is provided that the girl do not have 'thunder thigh'. (No offense intended). I heard it's cooling too. :)

Killer Uncle

Friday is not a good day to drive in Shah Alam. I almost got into an accident 3 times today!!!!! Is it me or people are going crazy?

First incident, an uncle and myself was taking a round about. He was on inside lane and suddenly he swerve to left to my car cause he want to exit the roundabout. Lucky I saw him coming and managed to avoid accident. I raise my hand (not finger OK) then he got upset! Imagine a kancil trying to catch my car. Hehe. Then he showed his rotan or steering lock or something to me. Wah, uncle so berahi!. I asked him go to police station to settle la, he went off. BTW, the wife and kid in the front seat. I was pissed.

30min later, another guy was doing a similar maneuver in a different roundabout. What the hell is wrong with this people. I was pissed even more.

I swear, one of these days, those guys will kena with some other driver.

2008 Horoscope

A colleague of mine sent a Chinese Zodiac Horoscope for the year of the Rat. I have sum up the best part of Rooster into 4 points:

1) “…you are especially popular and there will be much socializing to do this year. Everybody wants to be your friend”
Translation: Wow!!!

2) “…Always be responsible for your words and actions. Do not push your luck and get involved in illegal activities”
Translation: More speeding tickets this year!!!

3) “…There is a good chance that you will be able to increase your savings this year”
Translation: Hint Hint, salary increase or bonus this year……

4) “…there is a high tendency that there will be a third party or the relationships may be hurt by rumors and gossip”
Translation: Another new car (third party right!). What were you guys thinking la….

Too Much

Today is another hectic day in my calender. I have meetings after meetings until my head is about to explode. Lucky thing that I have a good team with me. If not, die lar.

Anyhow, CEO called for teh tarik today. During the session I discovered that he is a very simple man. Simple but impactful. That's good news. I am very simple man too.....heheh. I just need to find ways to be impactful. How la?

Life Choices

I have made some important choices in my life. For example, I chose not to join my friends do drug. I don't even smoke. (partly because my dad smokes like a chimney lar)

As I meet more people in my life I realized that some people are 'stuck' where they are cause they can't get over the wrong decisions they made in the past. Hey, that's life! We win some, we lose some. Hopefully at the end of the day we made more 'right' decision then 'wrong' ones.

Let's hope I live long enough to buy and enjoy my Porsche. I am not sure how to get the money to buy them right now la, but let's play by ear. My wish list is quite long...... LOL

Another Mistake

I saw the leaked pictures of Edison Chen and his girls today. Not a big deal other then kesian him la. Ok, the ladies are pretty but needs a little trimming..LOL. Why on earth did he sends his notebook without deleting the pictures first la? Kan susah already!

Maybe the notebook cannot 'boot' properly and he don't know what to do. Maybe he trust his Personal Assistant but forgot about about the technician. Whatever it is, they are in World Wide Web already.

Lesson learned :
1) Do not take naked pictures of yourself or of the people you know
2) If you have to, learn to encrypt properly
3) Also if you have to, learn to trim the bush (probably the most important)
3) If you cannot encrypt, then make sure you delete from PC before giving it to someone to do whatever
4) If you cannot do all this, please refer to rule #1

A modern alternative to the ol' chastity belt. Found this while cleaning up my hard drive today. Might as well share it with you guys and gals.

Killer drink

Of late I have been taking lots of Coke Lights. It has something do to with my mom's being a diabetic and that I am addicted to caffeines.

On Thursday alone I drank 3 cans. Everybody knows that coke can be used a toilet cleaner. Imagine 3 cans going down my throat. Burn baby burn!!!. My throat is killing me now. Need to take a break from drinking it.

Here is a funny clip for Coke Light commercial.

Crazy People

It has been a while since I let some steam with my baby (aka my car). Over the holidays, I saw few subaru's and this I observe. There is some kind of bond we Subaru drivers have with each other.

On Thursday, I saw a blue STI couple of cars behind me in Jln Tun Razak. Have not seen this car before so I moved to the left (don't feel like driving fast) to let him pass. Before the driver pass me he slowed down and raised his hand to me. I gave him a quick smile and a nod. It's a quick acknowledgment. Then off he went like a bat out of hell.

This is the bond I am talking about.

It actually happened many times before (ok, not all the time la) that I wonder why. I believe that it takes guts or a big ego or big kahuna's to buy a Subaru Impreza (take your pick). You could buy a Merc or BMW for that kind of money but Noooooooo......they bought a Japanese car with huge air scoop! Nobody knows this car unless they are INTO car. Future mother in laws might mistake this with Proton (god forbid! My mom did!). My mom sums it up nicely "orang gila beli mahal kereta macam ni" ("crazy man to buy a car so expensive like this"). LOL

Oh Rats!!!!

Having my nasi lemak (again) today and reading newspaper and I stumble upon an article on local celebrity. Did you know Hannah Tan is a 'rooster'? Alamak, all my pipe dreams just shattered. Rooster and rooster = cock fight lar. He He.

Valentine's Day

14th Feb aka Valentine's Day. On this day, a guy will make or break his relationship. On this day, ladies expect a certain behavior from their boyfriend or loved ones. Flower and dinner are standard. Just like a car comes with air-cond and radio. Jewelery would be good if a guy can afford it. Anything less than standard means "he does not love me anymore". Kesian to all the guys in this game call 'relationship'.

To play this game, guys will have to fork out RM10 for a rose (on this day). A dozen of roses will cost over 100 bucks (I think). A dinner will easily cost him another RM100 for 2. If everything goes well, it might be worth it ahak ahaks! If not, to bad la.

IMHO, show of affection does not boils down to this 1 day. It can be done everyday. A touch on her back is good. A peck or a hug is good anytime. Complimenting her works well too. Please be honest la. Women has this six sense thingy. She knows if you are lying.

I am too old for this game. I know a shortcut. She will understand.

Going Bald

CNY is a good time for catching up with sleep, friends and cut hair. What? cut hair? Yes, you heard me right. New year, new hair cut. Anyway, lots of people so busy visiting friends that my barber shop is empty. It took me only 15min. (It takes twice as long to find parking in 1U during weekend!)

When a women goes for a hair cut, the instructions might be a bit complicated. This and that la etc etc. For me it's simple. I open the door, say hi to my barber, sit down and let him do his stuff. Simple. No words was exchanged, no instructions and no options. When done, my barber will give me a head massage and a back rub. Talk about extra service. (not the Ah Kow definition)

Today, while cutting hair, I saw a bald spot. Maybe I am exaggerating but there is definitely some thinning there. This must come with age or work related stress. I honestly not sure what to think of it. Will check again during my next hair-cut.

Hurray Holiday

I am glad there is a 4-day break this week. I really needed a break. The company announced that all Chinese staff can go back earlier today. I has a small meeting with my non-Chinese staff and asked if they have lots of things to do? They said "not much". I told them to work from home half day today. They were happy.

CNY

Wishing friends and lovers a Happy Chinese New Year!!! May the year of the Rat brings us prosperity, health, love, friendship and all good things.

Lack of Sleep

Monday (yesterday) was Superbowl day in US. For the uninitiated, it is one of the biggest sporting event in US. It is like the World Cup to Americans.

Initially I was thinking of skipping work to watch the game 'live' but I've got to work.

So last night I was in front of TV watching the recorded game from 10pm to 2am. It was a beautiful game. Nobody ever thought New York Giants could win against 3 times Superbowl Champion New England Patriots, but they did. Giants has an awesome defense team.

Now, I am paying the 'price'. I am sleepy as hell and have already had my 3rd cup of coffee. I need a picker-upper but IT WAS WORTH IT!.

Durex Survey

According to a survey done to Malaysian by Durex, Malaysian have sex 115 times a year. That means somebody is having sex once every 3 days. That's roughly twice a week.
Is this for real? In a normal distribution, to achieve this average number, one end of the population is having sex twice a day. The other end of the spectrum, somebody is having sex 3 times a year.
Sh*t. Somebody is having sex quite a lot to cover for my lack of... LOL

Dick Keychain

I was cleaning my drawer and found this keychain (see above). Given to me by a good friend. A female friend. Being a human being I can't help but laugh at first then I my mind races.

I was thinking.....Is she saying I am a dick? or Do I remind her of a Dick? (just kidding la, she is kindda cool gal)

To be fair, it is a 'circumcised' dick. I have one (if too much info? then sorry la. Go to www.disney.com for your reading pleasure). It's kindda cool but where to use such keychain? For my car keys? Passenger of my car may enquire...heheh. For my house keys?...my mom will get a shock!. For my office keys..hehe my staff will call me "dickhead" (head of department ma!!!!). Yes, I think it's funny too.

Reality Porn Show

Things just getting very exiting. Most people (by that I mean most guys) are pretty bored with fake orgasm and structured porn videos and DVDs. A writer for Wired (refer to my fav link) called this Processed Porn.
People are moving to reality porn where the sex part comes 'naturally' and not scripted or acted in any way. I am not inclined to provide the links to such sites but suffice to say it is a new shift in the porn industry.
I thought I have seen them all, obviously NOT! Discoveries continues...

Cheaper Better

There is a new 'supercar' on the block. It's called Nissan GTR. It is cheaper than Porshe 911 Turbo and faster too. There is none in Malaysia right now (maybe next week la) but you can drive one. Yes, just go buy Sony PS3 Grand Turismo 5 and you can drive one. It has the exact feel and driving dynamic as the real thing.

In fact, the game developer designed some of the electronic display screen for Nissan. Super cool. I want....
