2008 Wish

2008 is almost here. 2007 has been an eventful year for me.

It is the year that I got my new 'portfolio'
It is the year that I spent enjoying life with close friends
It is the year that I manage to re-connect with some old friends
It is the year that I discovered Facebook
It is the year that I started blogging
It is the year that my sister got married
It is the year that my girlfriend got married
It is the year that I continue to mod my car
It is the year that I enjoy hard driving with friends
Yup, it is a good year.

Good bye 2007, you have been good to me. Hello 2008, may you treat me as well.

My one wish - Lets live life to the fullest.

Damn You!

I was driving back from the north to KL this afternoon. It was a boring drive as there were too many cars on the highway. I did not speed much. I was doing 160 average.

Anyhow, I was near Tanjung Malim when a bed frame flew off a pick up truck. Let me repeat it. A BED FRAME FLEW OFF A PICK UP TRUCK!. Who in hell would drive with a wood bed frame on a pick up truck and NOT secure it properly. Obviously this idiot was. Furthermore, he was speeding (above speed limit) and I was 2 cars behind. God was protecting the Vios driver this afternoon. The bed flew inches away from his/her car

Damn you SOB. Almost got into an accident today because of your stupidity. May your mom scold you for wrecking her wooden bed (what other excuse could there be).

DVD Galore

I just spent RM100 on DVDs today. It was a good buy. For that price, I received 14DVDs. Cool. Of late, I was not able to find good DVDs in KL due to the constant 'raid' done by authority. But in the north, shops are selling these pirated DVDs out in the open. In fact, there are 4 pirated DVD shops in the complex.

They are so advanced that in one shop, they have inventoried their pirated DVD in PC. Interesting!. If I were to sell pirated DVDs, would I keep all records of what movies I have and how much I am selling it? Absolutely not, those are evidence. If I get caught, those information will be the last of me.

Somebody told me that if I get caught (doing naughty things), 3 words - Deny, Deny, Deny . With all those inventory details, it is hard to do that la...

Anyhow, that's the way it is here. I am sooooo looking forward watching those DVDs in the next few months.

Stress Out

People has been pointing out that I looked stressed even after my long break. Honestly I do not feel stress but my body is showing otherwise. My back feels tight and I have 'bags' under my eye.

Maybe I need to change my lifestyle a bit. I need to:

1) Have more sex (aren't we all!!!)
2) Sleep earlier (not at the expense of sex of course)
3) Have friends to laugh with (It is lonely at the top)
4) Drive in Sepang F1 track more often ( trackdays are limited)
5) Just chill

Anybody willing to help me with any of the above?

Speeding Ticket

Yesterday I picked up a registered letter and as expected, it is a speeding ticket. I actually have an annual budget for speeding ticket and this year I have received only 1. Surprising actually as 80% of the 365 days in a year I am speeding.

On annual basis, I budgeted RM600 to pay for speeding tickets. Past experiences indicates that I will be speeding regardless of which car I drive. I once did 180km/hr in my Gen 2 (mildly modified for handling purposes).

Having said that, I was quite surprise to receive this specific one cause I was caught in Kampar. I think this was the one where a bunch of us subaru owners went to 'Banding-ring' (ala Nurburgring). It was a memorable trip. We did close to 800km in one day.

About the trip, we drove from KL to Kuala Kangsar, then Banding then Jeli and back once more. There were 12 cars including one Evo. We drove at speed between 100-200km on the back road. It was a rush. One car broke his suspension, one car had to duck taped his front lip, one managed to survive a scare of major understeer into the 'gravel' but the rest was having loads of fun.

Anyway, this ticket is for July 2007. I wonder how many I have by end of the year. Crap..maybe will burst my budget.

Hannah Tan (Corrected)

I know some of my friends (girlfriends especially) are going to puke when they read this. I think Hanna Tan is 'da bomb'. (There I said it!). Just go the her website and check out her picture in a BIKINI. Yeah baby.....

How could any hot blooded male not agree with me when I say that. Look at her body, look at her smile, look at her chest....Given the chance, any straight male would like to have her as a girl friend/wife/mistress. I am not surprised that a gay person might want to go 'straight' for her. I for one, would not. No I am not going cuckoo. Let me explain.

She is way above my league. I am guessing that she is high maintenance. You think you can bring her to mamak stall for dinner? Think again! (ok, I have not been to mamak for a while now but that's beside the point). Your cheapest lunch could probably cost you your thumb if not an arm.

When it comes to her birthdays, you have to compete with rich bastards that would woo her with stones as big as your house. How to compete when you don't even understand the 3Cs (diamond speak)

When it comes to her time, you have to compete with her career. She has this MC gigs/singer/producer/animax spokeperson/ products endorsements activities line up. You will have maybe 1 hr a week with her total.

Sex? I read somewhere that pretty lady is not as good in bed as average looking ones. I am thinking that she might withhold sex until you are married as she is a staunch catholic. Coupled with 1 hr a week time you will have with her, I think it is easier to win a lottery. LOL.

Anyhow, there you have it, a bunch of reason why I would not like to be her bf. You can look at it as excuses losers give to themselves. So be it.

I would prefer a gf that likes to hang out with me, good in bed, don't sweat the small stuff, sexy in her own way, smart and I can hold an open conversation with. Simple.

Internet Connection

Was at my fav kopi place recently. I was hoping I could get connected via their wireless network and do some research and stuff. Unfortunately, many other people are connected thus the deterioration of signal and data transfer.

I was so frustrated that I took out my phone and connected to the 3G service and shazaammmm... the connection is faster than the broadband at this kopi shop.

Haiya, next time no need to pay for the RM11 kopi for the internet connection. Just plug my phone and play. If only I am not addicted to the hazelnut latte....

Gear Knob

I changed my gear knob recently. It was an impulse buy. I was servicing the car and I saw the STI knob on display and few others. There were Prodrive knobs as well. Anyhow, after talking to Paul (the sales man - also my friend), I decided to buy the titanium STI knob. Damage : RM390.

Anyhow, the story does not ends there, after installing it, I showed to a friend of mine and she said - It's ugly. Trust women to judge my taste in car parts. So, I bought an 'ugly' gear knob that cost a bomb. All I can say is that beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Japanese Food

I like Japanese food generally. Some of my friends and colleagues loves Japanese food that I have grown to like them myself. There is a couple of problems with Japanese food.

For one, there are pricey. Depending which shop you go, it can range from RM20/person to RM100/person. Mind you, some of the portion can be quite small. This is normally the case if you go to the 'high class' Japanese food place.

The second issue I have with Japanese food is the name. I would normally order something from the pictured menu and when the waiter delivers it, I could not remember if I ordered it. Reason being, the picture looks different than the actual food and I don't remember the name as I ordered based on the picture.

In summary, I will pay steep price for the food that I cannot pronounce and can't remember ordering. Make sense to you?

Burger Index

Would like to share the Big Mac Index. Click on the image to see the full size, then use it to benchmark your cost. This is good of you travel a lot or if your job requires a benchmarking work. (courtesy of Economist + Wiki)

Purchasing Power Parity (PPP): is a measure of the relative purchasing power of different currencies. It is measured by the price of the same goods in different countries, translated by the FX rate (or exchange rate) of that country's currency against a "base currency".

How to read this table:
In this case, the goods is the Big Mac. For example, if a BigMac costs €3.06 in the countries that use Euro and costs $3.41 in US, then the PPP exchange rate would be 3.06/3.41 = 0.8973.
If the actual exchange rate is lower, then the BigMac theory says that you should expect the value of the Euro to go up until it reaches the PPP exchange rate. If the actual exchange rate is higher, then the BigMac theory says that you should expect the value of the Euro to go down until it reaches the PPP exchange rate.

The Over/Under valuation against the dollar is calculated as:

(PPP - Exchange Rate)
---------------------------------- x 100
Exchange Rate

2 Dogs

Here I am sitting at a coffee shop and I saw people carrying their dogs to run errands. The first one was carried by a sweet young thing (may not be young la but she is sweet) and she was passing by to do her errands with a dog in her bag.

30min later, another guy brings his dog to run errands. He is carrying the dog on his arm. Hmmm, is today "Carry Your Dog Day" or something?

Interesting Meeting

I had a meeting with PwC this evening and I think is quite retrospective. I used to be on the other side of the table. I used to recommend that the process can be improved if we do this and that. And that the leading practices are this and that. The gaps are this and that.

Now, PwC is doing it to me. Hehe. What goes around comes around. All I can say is that consulting is my past. Now I just do it. Who cares of leading practices when the fundamental is not strong. Who cares of closing the gaps when the company is in a survival mode.

I have been collecting Hard Rock shirts since I was in college. Below is the list of Hard Rock t-shirts that I have:

1) Orlando
2) New York
3) Montreol
4) Chicago
5) Dallas
6) LA
7) Hollywood
8) San Francisco
9) Rome
10) Tokyo
11) Berlin
12) London
13) Surfers Paradise
14) Bali
15) Las Vegas
16) Singapore
17) Bangkok
18) Melbourne
19) New Orleans
20) KL (of course)
21) Others that I cannot remember.

I am done collecting. Time to move on. Maybe this is what they call a pre-mid life crisis. ;-)

Spring Cleaning

I just got back from a vacation that doubles as shopping trip (a small one). I managed to buy few t-shirts, shirts, pants, jeans and a shoe. So yesterday, I started my spring cleaning so to say. I threw out lots of old shirts, pants, socks and underwear (yes, underwear!)

While going thru the list of things to throw (or give away), I have 2 brand-new shirts that I cannot wear due to size issue or not interested to wear anymore. Imagine that. Brand new shirts thrown out.

Anyway, it is interesting that I can let go of stuff that has been in my closet for months or years. Previously, I always has this 'sayang' feeling to throw out stuff but I realized that my closet size is constant and I can only fit certain number of items in it. Something had to go.

Why am I blogging about wardrobe stuff? Maybe it is a way of saying I am looking forward for a positive change in 2008 and it starts with my t-shirts.

Change

Einstein say this once:

"The only constant in this universe is change"

He could not be more correct with this statement. As we continue the journey in our life, we changed. The environment (we are in) changed. The people surrounding us changed. Everything changed.

As I grow older (and a bit wiser I hope), I understand what Einstein's saying. I live in the "now" and hope the best for the future. I understand that change is inevitable. Either you enjoy the moment or you will miss it. Once it is gone, finished. You will never get it back.

Sometimes, it is hard for other people to understand how I can change so fast. It is hard for me to understand as well, but I do. Maybe that's what makes me who I am today.

Return

Traveling in other country can sometimes gives you a different perspective towards your life. America and Americans in general are BIG. The country is big. The cars they drive are big (a Hummer is like a minibus - they call that a car). The value meals (or combo)comes with a 3 liter coke!. The widest highway is 6-lane on each side!. 60% of the people are "horizontally challenged" (aka - fat)

I wonder how a typical American can actually fit into an economy seat in an aeroplane. Their backside is the size of a baby elephant. If you were to get lost in there somewhere, it might take you 2 days to cross the butt cheeks (just kidding..). Maybe that is why American airlines are loosing money. For the same seat, they have to carry extra weight. In other works, a typical asian guy might weight 70kg, a typical american can weight 2x that. Same fare but need more fuel....hehehe

Anyway, I am glad I am back. Nothing beats nasi lemak or roti canai for breakfast.

Phone

In US, they are testing a system where airlines passenger will only have to show their mobile phone with downloaded 2D barcodes to check-in. That's cool.

In case your battery died, you can also print the codes from kiosk nearby provided you remember the reservation number. Cool

Phones are lifesavers these days. I am blogging via my phone now. All the post you see since Dec are via my mobile.

Yup, phones are very important indeed.

How true.

Trip

Touched down in LA few hrs ago. Underestimated the weather here. At 15deg with wind chill factor = very cold indeed.

The flight is good esp if you take business class. Food is excellent. Must tell my friends in in flight of my positive experiences.

Customs clearance was fast. I expected to be stuck for hours but was there for 30mins! Unbelievable. Maybe to be first in line helps.

Anyhow, managed to get my rental car and drove to Holiday Inn. Feels weird to be driving on the "wrong side" of the road. I am in happyland, not because of Disney la but because of starbucks are on every city blocks. Hehe

Suffer-ring

A friend of mine just got married yesterday. She and her 'hubby' make it official at the registration office in the morning and had a small lunch with their family. Nice.

It is official, the marriage/wedding season has started. Not unlike hunting season where people hunts for ducks and shoot them down for a feast. The 'marriage' thing can be a painful experience as well. The lady gives the guy a wedding ring (aka suffer-'ring') and he swears till death do they part. The duck is so 'dead' :-D

I read an article a few days ago and realized that women are no longer looking for marriage. The marriage institution somehow is perceived as restricting. They would rather live alone and have more space then sharing it. I guess this choice is available because they are economically independent. They do not need a man to provide .

Really? not even for intimacy?

Fast

The day goes by too fast. Decisions have to be made is a similar quick fashion. Sometimes you wonder if the decision you make today will haunt you later. This is especially true for my work. In a short span of 10 minutes, I have to make 3 key decisions. I hope that people have given me enough inputs for me to make that call. The quality of my decision is dependent on the quality of information I received. GIGO - Garbage In Garbage Out. I will never know. Too fast

Love

A man feels loved when:

1) The women says "it's okay baby" when you screw up BIG time
2) The women lovingly WATCH you going to sleep by your side
3) The women bought movie tickets at 12am for you (online purchase)
4) The women justifies for YOUR car modification upgrade
5) The women accepts you for who you are (with all your 'baggage' and quirkiness)

A man feels the warm and fuzzy feeling every time he thinks of this beautiful thoughts. Lucky man

Left

My sister got married today. The ceremony was very simple. "Akad nikah" was scheduled at 10am but the groom was late. Dad was a bit upset and I can understand why. Off all the days to be late, he choose his wedding day!. At 10:30, he finally arrived and Tok Kadi promptly started his 5 min sermon and briefing on the procedure. Yes, there is a procedure to abide by. (I could write a whole blog on the procedure)

After to akad nikah, we drove to a location where the lunch will be served to guest in the afternoon. (5 min away). Both our families met formally there and had something to 'alas perut'. As the designated driver to the bride and groom, I was pretty busy sending and picking up people. I had a good tool. It was a Sleek Black Merc E200 Kompressor. Managed to get the car 'drift' a bit. (The car activated the breaks by itself when it detect some sliding action happening - bummer!)

Anyway, guest started to arrive at 12:30pm. They were served typical Malay wedding food. Beef rendang (smooth), spiced fried chicken (yummy!) and some other stuff. To my surprise, the food was good. Her boss from German came down in a Merc (what else..) from Kuantan for the lunch. According to my sources, this is his first Malay wedding. Heh, he must be pleasantly surprised with the loudness of the kompang.

Unlike Chinese wedding dinner where guest will come and sit for the duration, Malay wedding allows the guest to stroll in, eat and leave at their own leisure (between 1-4pm la). By 3:30, there were no more guests. We pack all gifts and went home. We gave the rest of the food to nearby mosque, friends and relatives.

It was a tiring day for all of us. My younger brother did good. He arranged everything for this wedding. Next will be his wedding, whenever that is cause he is still available...

Reflection

I have been working for over 15 years in total. I have to say that the last 7-8 years are the most challenging and fun years of my working life. It was during these period that I met few good friends. They don't judge me. They just let me be myself and respect me for that. Thanks guys.

My social network has also expanded dramatically thanks to Friendster, Facebook, Subaru Club and few friends that have bigger network than life itself! Good friends at school are no longer staying in touch. Most of them are busy with wife/husband/kids/.....(fill up the blanks). What a pity.

I am closer to some friends than others. Maybe because we have the same wavelength or we share the same interest or we have the same issues. Birds of a feather flock together they say. Whatever it is, what's important is that we enjoy each others company. Life would be boring without you....

Sex

I am so bloody stressed right now. I need to get laid. Doggy, Missionary whatever.......Must have blood rushing to areas other than my brain.

Call me 'hamsap', call me 'maniac', call me 'pervert'....I don't care...just call me. ;-D

View

I am blessed. When people are actually in the office doing their day to day work, I am able to take some time to have lunch with a pretty lady friend and later sit in my fav coffee shop drinking my fav cup of joe. Thanks to my dedicated team and my leadership style (masuk bakul angkat sendiri), I am dispensable.

Anyway, that's not the story here. The story is that there are so many ladies to 'cuci mata' at this coffee shop. There is this nice looking lady wearing white top and a male friend. She is very sweet indeed but....she smokes. Maybe the boyfriend don't mind kissing as ashtray. Haha.

There is another lady that just passes by. She is hot but she might be thinking I am out of her league. Really? What league is this, Japanese Football League? Klang Football league? :-P

There are a couple of girls wearing jeans way to low and tight. Looks like a muffin - all the fat come out at the hips. (try to imagine la). Damn! she is wearing Iron Maiden snickers!!!! How 'metal' is that? Wow, she has iPaq as a phone. Her coolness factor just went up.

BTW, I am actually reviewing some documents for office. I am blessed to be able to do work while enjoying the view.

Weddings

This couple of months are THE season to get hitched. My sister is getting married this weekend. My colleague is getting married in December. Another friend of mine from previous organization is going to wed in December too. Last but not least, a girlfriend of mine is registering next week.

I wish them all the best. May they all live happily ever after.

>40

In case you missed 60 minutes, this is what Andy Rooney thinks of women over 40:

"As I grow in age, I value women over 40 most of all. Here are just a few reasons why:

A woman over 40 will never wake you in the middle of the night and ask, "What are you thinking?" She doesn't care what you think. If a woman over 40 doesn't want to watch the game, she doesn't sit around whining about it. She does something she wants to do, and it's usually more interesting. Women over 40 are dignified. They seldom have a screaming match with you at the opera or in the middle of an expensive restaurant. Of course, if you deserve it, they won't hesitate to shoot you if they think they can get away with it. Older women are generous with praise, often undeserved. They know what it's like to be unappreciated. Women get psychic as they age. You never have to confess your sins to a woman over 40. Once you get past a wrinkle or two, a woman over 40 is far sexier than her younger counterpart. Older women are forthright and honest. They'll tell you right off that you are a jerk if you are acting like one. You don't ever have to wonder where you stand with her. Yes, we praise women over 40 for a multitude of reasons. Unfortunately, it's not reciprocal. For every stunning, smart, well-coiffed, hot woman over 40, there is a bald, paunchy relic in yellow pants making a fool of himself with some 22-year old waitress. Ladies, I apologize. For all those men who say, "Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free?", here's an update for you. Nowadays 80% of women are against marriage. Why? Because women realize it's not worth buying an entire pig just to get a little sausage! "

I personally think that there is some truth to this and it is absolutely hilarious.

Bahasa

THE GOOD - As part of my company change culture program, all HOD is required to meet with staff once a month a give a talk about our new culture. Outside world will hear our change program in January.

THE BAD - Since this is a company wide program, the presentation slides were prepared by our Communication team to ensure consistency and quality. If you have presented before, you know how hard it can be to explain some of the slides when you did not prepare the deck. Anyhow, I managed

THE UGLY - And since some of my older staff could not understand English well (yes, these people exist), things can get pretty ugly. I have no issue translating "spontaneous" in malay ('spontan' if you don't already know). But when words like "determined" and "willing" have to be explained in Malay, I was stumped. I tried, honestly, I did. I am just not sure how the staff takes it. {rofl}

Boss

It is good to be the BOSS. Key learnings so far:

1) Hire good people. They will make your life easier
2) Ensure you have sufficient energy. You'll need it to command your army
3) Stay motivated.
Unmotivated boss will un-motivate their staff. It's a domino effect

4) Have Fun. All Work and No Play makes us a dull boy.
5) Reward the staff. Unfortunate you cannot ask for salary increase but you can give one.

It is good to be a MAN:
1) You don't get pregnant. You can get a women pregnant! A no no!
2) You have only ONE erogenous zone. Yes, your d**k.
3) You do not need to have color coordinated bra and panties. Those are damn expensive.
4) You can be 'kayu' once a while. OK, most of the time...but it's ok, we are men!
5) You can pee without removing your underwear. Save at least a minute per session. Imagine the time saved in a lifetime!!!

Life is good

Perspective

Each and everyone of us have a story to tell. Things that each of us experience throughout our lives makes us who we are today.

Our success, our failures, our regrets and our achievements somehow makes us better. They help us fine-tune our decision making process. Hopefully these experiences will assist us in making better decisions. Like someone told me, "it is ok to fail, but first you have to show up for the race "

Subaru Impreza WRC Concept Car

Slow

Damn Celcom 3g service. In the last few weeks the connectivity has been appalling. I called the helpline and they said no problem with connection. I told them of course la! the connection is slow that's why I am complaining. I am not calling because there is no connection! (idiot).

Thinking of going to competitor to get broadband access. Hmmmmm.....

The dilemma is this, I already have 3 phone numbers (I am very mobile - not kiasu). 2 for voice and 1 for Blackberry. If I subscribe to another one, that will make it 4. Who the hell has 4 phone numbers la. I only got 1 mouth, 1 left ear, 1 right ear and that's it (to smartypants out there - another hole down south - LOL).

Some people say that I have one phone for each girlfriend. Yeah right! I wish!

Speed

Speed is relative to an individual. Some of us drive fast, talk fast, work fast (not all the time la), eat fast and move up in corporate ladder fast. Some of us is on the other side of the fence. It all boils down to choices we make.

We choose to drive fast cause it's fun and gives us a natural high. We choose to slow down and chill at times cause we are tired and we need to recharge. It is good to finish work fast but not make love fast. It is good to act fast so that you don't lose the girl but move slower to take the relationship 'up a notch'.

It is all relative really.... ;-)

First

We always remember our First. The first DATE, the first CAR, the first JOB, the first HOUSE, the first BOYFRIEND/GIRLFRIEND, the first KISS etc etc. For the life of me, I can't remember a phone number given to me a minute ago but some of my memories are 10 years old and I can recall them like it was yesterday.

Memorable moments are hard to come by. However, once in a while, you will experience that moment (if you are lucky)

Tuesday, November 6, 2007

Next

1. 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds
(bye bye Ferrari)

2. Top speed of 329 km/h
(KL to Kuantan in 37 min)

3. The 3.6-litre boxer engine
(Bloody expensive road tax but who cares)

4. Maximum output of 530 bhp (390 kW) at 6500 rpm
(Sweeeeeeeeeeet....)

5. Definitely a 'chick' magnet............
(Priceless...)

Police

Something funny happened on the way back from TT on Friday. I was pumped with adrenalin and was driving close to double the speed limit. As normal, I would hi-beamed the cars on the fast lane to move to the left (hey, I am coming at you at 190km/hr so for safely reason I have to ask!)

Anyway, I hi-beamed this white car about 400 meters away and was hoping he will give way. This bastard did not. A few seconds later, I realized that I just hi-beamed a police cruiser to move to the left!!

I slowed down my car immediately while I was saying something like "shit...sure kena". Luckily the guy wants to play and he drove quite fast (maybe @ 140km/hr) . So I was trailing him till a roundabout near my place and overtook him at some speed. Lucky he has to send back the police car to the station nearby. Else, I would be RM300 poorer or worst, could probably be in jail!! LOL

TT

As per normal, Subaru TT is always an event not to be missed. Last Friday, we had a good one. By 9:45pm, there are almost 25+ subaru cars plus 1 skyline and 1 satria neo at the Pertonas station. Most of those guys I have never met before. Newbies. Some brought their ladies (subaru drivers do attract sweet ladies - not "ah lian" type)

Club stickers were distributed to the newbies (Motor Image will give major discounts if you have that), the secret TT location was announced and we were all set to go. Close to fifteen cars were game for the ride/drive including the satria neo.

Going there was a bummer, too many cars on the road and we did not manage to speed much. We took the Kerinci link, Federal highway, Sg Besi toll to Kajang. Once settled at our table, we all started to talk about cars (surprise surprise) and by 1:30am it was time to go. Only 8 cars left and the drive was fantastic. I managed to fulfill "my need for speed". We were not racing but was driving is a convoy.....at double the highway speed limit (got to slow down for some law abiding cars at times). Shit!, those friends of mine are bloody fast. Managed to reach home before 2am.

I think it is time for some mod / upgrade again or I will be left behind in next session....

Food

I notice that I am gaining back some weight (not being vain la) after puasa. Today, I struggle to get 30 pushups . I managed 20+ on first try and 20 on second try. A month ago, 30 on first try is not a problem.

I have a theory on this. It is because I was lighter during fasting month and because of the many Open Houses, Roti Canai(s), nasi lemak(s) and other continental stuff I have been having in the last few weeks. I have to confess, I eat roti canai in pairs. 1 is just not good enough. I eat nasi lemak every week. Nothing beats nasi lemak with curry ayam and lots of sambal. Yummmmmmyy

Pressure

There are many types of pressures one can experience. There are engine pressure, self pressure and external pressure. Let me go thru one by one in finer detail.

Engine pressure is required when you want to get more power from the same engine. How does it work? Imagine a 1 liter empty bottle. There is probably a liter of air in the bottle at atmospheric pressure. I can increase the pressure by pumping more air into the 1 liter bottle. So more pressure = more air = more combustion in engine = more power. Simple

External pressure is the likes of pressure society put upon us to conform. Must wear like this, cannot talk like that, cannot do this, cannot do that, cannot make love in a car while its moving...bla bla bla....you get my drift.

Self pressure is the pressure you put upon yourself for whatever reason. Maybe we want to buy a new house, we work harder! We want to be successful, we do thing better! Sometimes, external pressure forces us to put self pressure. Yesterday, that happened to me.

The MD had a media conference and declare that my area will deliver RM200 mil in 2008. THANK YOU MD!!! Way to go in putting more pressure on me. (Yes, our share price increased by 50cents) Being a guy that live on the edge of my pants (not literally la), I am taking it as a challenge, hence, self pressure. So there you go. A small ranting about pressure.

Hope this helps when you deal with your pressure.......

Dinner Conversation

Was having dinner yesterday night at HRC and as always, the conversation revolve around male and female relationships. I discovered a common experience that I share with 3 of my esteemed colleagues.

All of our fathers at some point in their life are married to 2 women at the same time. Obviously, this is acceptable practice in Islam although it is not a popular view. But the thing is, there is a psychological impact the children of these family are experiencing. Some experience hatred and some learn to accept early on. For the most part, the experience is not positive.

Being one of those kids, I did OK. I don't do drugs, don't smoke and don't steal. There rest, I do LOL.

Malls

Lately there has been an increase in the number of malls in KL. In the last 1 month, I have been to 3 new malls. There is this Pavilion, The Garden and Sunway Pyramid (new wing).

It is a mazing to see how people go to such malls and spend their hard earn money on stuff. I am sure there is a limited amount of money a person has (excluding Sultan of Brunei and such) and therefore there is only so many thing people can shop. Maybe credit cards play a big role in this as well.

Whatever it is, I need to rob a bank now..........

Moving House

Decide that I need to move from the freaking friendsters blog to this. It is much easier to manage all thoughts with Blogger.

I will keep posted on what's happening in my life and some of my thoughts. If you are easily offended, I would suggest you go to www.disney.com
