A couple of months ago I was approached by an ex-boss to join Astro. He was asking me to work as "Operation Manager" or something like that. I declined. Mind you, the offer was very attractive. Enough to buy a BMW 325 with a whole year salary.
Today I heard from a good friend that a bunch of my ex-colleagues just joined or going to join Astro. I take the news with mixed feeling. Some of these guys are good but some are not. As a consumer, I may not feel the impact as they are focusing on the sales side (Already a customer). I wish them all the best.
Just in case they are reading this, I would recommend this to increase sales:
1) Show more American football (enough with soccer/football already la)
2) Bring in Playboy channel (a sure hit)
3) Have a channel something like TechTV (discontinued already) for the geek in us
For the ladies (yes...I did not forget you ladies)
1) More 'Oprah' like program
2) Interior design stuff (for houses or apartments)
3) More hunky guys on telly (does not matter what channel or program)
These are just some thoughts. As a man, I have to admit that there is one thing we can't do...... Trying to figure out what women want!!
