Connection sucks

Of late I am having problems connecting to internet from home. I am currently using a couple mode to connect to the net. The first is via my mobile 3G phone and the second is via broadband mobile usb modem.

I can tell you that connection sucks big time. I can barely surf my normal sites including putting updates on blog let alone downloading stuff. With the current hold-your-number-but-change-your-provider plans, I am predicting lots of movement and this in turn reduces the bandwidth for a particular operator. Here is my imagination running wild on current activities in a telco company......

1) Boss say to increase the number of subscribers and get people to defect
2) Marketing guys make proper plan to advertise and sell new packages
3) Finance guys approve the spending of Marketing guys
4) Marketing guys told Engineering guys that they predict the subscribers will increase
5) Engineering guys smirk at Marketing guys cause they always over promise on numbers
6) Engineering guys nonetheless order some stuff to upgrade the network
7) Finance guys approves the spend based on marketing guys projection
8) Engineering guys send in orders and wait for equipment to come
9) Equipment vendors keep on telling engineering guys to upgrade to the latest technology
10) While engineering guys waiting for equipments and testing the new technology, Marketing guys keep on selling and bandwith keeps on reducing

In the meantime in the not very far far land, people like you and I suffer

*note:
this is just my imagination running wild and I could be wrong else what other explanation could telco gives?
