Rule of engagement

It is very important for us to understand the rules of engagement (ROE). In work, we know few rules of engagement like "do your work or get fired!" and "no touching your opposite sex colleague" and "don't call the boss stupid (not to his/her face anyway)"

In life, rule of engagement with society would be something like; "don't pinch people's bottom during train ride (or anywhere for that matter)" or "no pissing by the roadside, go find the toilet!"

In relationship especially on the first date, the rules would be; "no 'third' base (on the first date)" or "hold hands only, nothing more (anything more risk getting a slap)". As people progress in relationship, ROE might be "tongue allowed but hands off my butt" and as we progress further ..... "tongue, hands everything also can" he he he

What I am trying to say is that we must be aware of the rules of engagement at every step of the relationship. The rules change so much that only good communication will allow you to avoid the landmines. So people, remember..always always have clear communication line and never assume. If ever in doubt, ASK
